Ushtiptsy (Serbian cutlets)
Delicious, aromatic, tender and juicy cutlets.
Ingredients
- minced meat (pork + beef) 1 kg
- onion (medium) 2 pcs.
- soda 1 tsp
- sparkling water 1/2 glass (s)
- ground sweet paprika 2 tsp
- garlic (cloves) 5 pcs.
- feta cheese 150 g
- smoked bacon brisket 150 g
- greens (dill + parsley + green onions) 1 bunch (s)
- salt 2 pinch (s)
- pepper 1 pinch (s)
- vegetable oil for frying 1 tbsp.
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
Add finely chopped onions, salt, black pepper, paprika, soda and mineral water to the minced meat (it is soda and mineral water that will add splendor to the cutlets, do not be afraid, in finished form these components will not be felt at all). Knead the minced meat well and put it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours (in fact, in theory, it is better to put it in the cold for 12 hours, but if there is no time for this, then it's not scary).
Step 2
Remove the minced meat from the refrigerator and add the diced bacon, coarsely grated feta cheese, finely chopped garlic (or pressed) and chopped herbs, stir well.
