Potato pancakes with spicy seasoning
For potato pancakes, you can fry bacon and ham slices separately.
Ingredients
- 600 g potatoes
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 medium onion
- 3-4 cloves of garlic
- 1 medium bunch of cilantro
- 0.5 cups potato starch
- salt, freshly ground black pepper
- vegetable or ghee
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 1 medium red onion
- 1 green chili
- 80 ml soy sauce
- 1 tbsp. l. honey, apple cider vinegar and sesame oil
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
Peel the onion and chili for seasoning. Cut the onion into thin feathers, the chili into rings. Mix all the ingredients and let sit while the pancakes are cooking.
Step 2
Peel potatoes, onions and garlic. Remove seeds and partitions from bell peppers. Grate all vegetables on the finest grater. Chop the cilantro finely.
Step 3
Add cilantro, starch, salt and pepper to the vegetable dough. Preheat a 20 cm frying pan, add oil. When it starts to smoke, pour in a quarter of the dough. Grill over medium heat until a golden brown rim forms around the edges, 4-5 minutes. It is more convenient to fry pancakes in two pans.
Step 4
Gently turn the pancake over with a wide spatula (you may need to add more oil) and fry on the other side for about 4 minutes. Fry 3 more pancakes in the same way. Serve with seasoning.
