Potato salad with white fish

Due to very fine slicing, this salad has an interesting texture - smoothish-grainy. Potatoes, hot smoked fish with dressing give smoothness, and gherkins, onions - a firm structure. You can take any fish - smoked fish gives this traditional salad an interesting flavor nuance. I took cold-smoked halibut and hot-smoked pike perch. I liked this combination very much!

Ingredients
  • smoked fish fillet 150 g
  • baked potatoes 200 g
  • Extra Virgin olive oil 2 tbsp
  • mayonnaise 2 tbsp.
  • red onion 1/2 pc.
  • pickled gherkins 4 pcs.
  • fresh dill 2 tbsp
  • white pepper

STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE

Step 1
Finely chop a couple of dill sprigs. Cut the onion into small cubes. You can take any onion, green is also suitable.
Step 2
First, pour oil into the sliced potatoes and stir thoroughly so that the potatoes are covered with oil and do not stick together in the salad. Then add all the ingredients and pepper the salad. Perhaps you will not have enough salt in it, then add salt. It seems to me that fish, cucumbers and mayonnaise contain enough salt.
Step 3
Serve as you like - in verrines, in serving spoons, on plates, where you put the salad using the culinary ring. Decorate with dill or capers, they are perfect here to taste.
