Spicy carrot cake
Carrot cake is a classic, rather, of American cuisine. There it is covered with snow-white creamy glaze and displayed on the windows of pastry shops. And nothing prevents us from using the basic recipe of the pie to prepare its simplified and healthy counterpart!
Ingredients
- butter 120 g
- raw sugar 120 g
- chicken egg 3 pcs.
- carrots 225 g
- citrus zest 3 g
- whole wheat flour 215 g
- baking powder 5 g
- salt 2 g
- ground cinnamon 2 g
- ground ginger pinch (s)
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
On a coarse grater, grate the peeled carrots and mix with the egg-cream mixture.
Step 2
Sift flour with baking powder into the resulting mass, add spices and salt. Stir the dough quickly until smooth.
Step 3
Fill the prepared rectangular shape (diameter - 21-25 cm) with dough and send to the oven for 45 minutes.
Step 4
Cool the finished cake and, if desired, sprinkle with powdered sugar or glaze.
