Barley colivo

In the Orthodox tradition, kolivo (syrup) is cooked on Christmas Eve, and lean kolivo (kutya) is prepared for less joyful occasions for funerals. Colivo can be made from rice or millet. Moreover, a very nice coliva is obtained from a mixture of cereals. If you wish, you can add raisins, candied fruits, nuts to it.
