Rice porridge with coconut milk with caramel, banana and cinnamon
How to turn ordinary porridge into a romantic breakfast? Very simple! A pinch of exoticism due to the addition of coconut milk. A chic touch of a caramel banana. And finally, a life hack. If you serve porridge in a beautiful unusual plate, you will not even recognize the usual morning food, like an old friend who suddenly became extremely prettier, simply by changing her hair.
Ingredients
- 300 g rice (calrose is best)
- 200 ml of water
- 230 ml of coconut milk
- 60 g of sugar
- 30 g butter
- 20 g coconut flakes
- pinch of cinnamon
- 2 g of salt
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
1. Mix coconut milk with water, bring to a boil.
Step 2
2. Add rice and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until tender (15-18 minutes). Add sugar (20 g) and salt.
Step 3
Peel banana, cut lengthwise and halves. Heat the butter in a skillet, fry the banana halves for 1 minute, then turn over, sprinkle with the remaining sugar and fry for a couple more minutes until the sugar turns into caramel.
Step 4
Put the porridge on a plate, put the banana on top. Decorate everything with coconut flakes and sprinkle with cinnamon.
