Creamy Jelly with Spicy Strawberries
Fresh strawberries are delicious with cream. Or you can make creamy jelly with strawberry jelly from the same set, and you will have a wonderful summer dessert. Add vanilla and orange juice to the jelly to give it an interesting new flavor.
Ingredients
- 8 g of sheet gelatin
- 1 large juicy orange
- 1 vanilla pod
- 250 g sugar + 1-2 tbsp. l.
- 600 ml cream, 20% fat
- 400 ml cream with a fat content of 33%
- 300-350 g large strawberries
- 1 st. l. Teddy bear
- 1 tsp ground cardamom
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
Pour gelatin with cold water for 10 minutes.
Step 2
Cut the zest from the orange into thin strips. Cut the vanilla pod in half and scrape out the seeds with the blunt side of a knife. Mix the prepared ingredients together with the vanilla pod in a saucepan with sugar, cream, 20% fat and 100 ml of cream, 33% fat. Bring to nearly a boil, but do not boil.
Step 3
Remove the saucepan from heat, add gelatin. Stir until completely dissolved. Cool it down.
Step 4
Whisk the remaining heavy cream into a firm foam. In three steps, gently stirring with a spatula from bottom to top, add the whipped cream to the gelatin mixture.
Step 5
Pour the mixture into 8-10 small ceramic tins. Fill about 3/4 full. Refrigerate for 4 hours.
Step 6
Cut the strawberries into halves. Squeeze the juice out of the orange. Combine it in a saucepan with cardamom, sugar and honey. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Place strawberries in syrup, stir and remove from heat. Let cool completely.
Step 7
Remove the molds from the refrigerator. Place the jelly on the plates without removing it from the molds. Garnish with spiced strawberries and serve immediately.
