French omelet with cheese
Ingredients
  • 2-3 eggs
  • 20 g butter
  • 2 st. l. grated cheese
  • salt, freshly ground black pepper
  • parsley or dill

STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE

Step 1
Break the eggs into a bowl and season with salt and pepper. Stir the eggs quickly with a fork to combine the yolks with the whites.
Step 2
Preheat a 20-22 cm non-stick skillet over high heat and melt the butter. Pour the eggs and wait 5-6 seconds until the eggs set slightly.
Step 3
While shaking the pan in a back and forth motion, stir the omelet with a fork actively to help the eggs thicken.
Step 4
Once the omelet is thick on the bottom and still runny on top, sprinkle it with cheese, then slide a fork along the edges of the omelet. Shaking the pan, move it to the opposite side from you. Then fold the edge of the omelet closest to you toward the middle.
Step 5
Tap the pan lightly on the table so that the opposite end of the omelet moves forward. Grasp the handle of the pan so that your thumb is on top. Place the plate and briskly flip the omelet onto it so that the free edge tilts downward. Trim the edges, sprinkle with chopped herbs and serve immediately.
