Mackerel smoked in tea
Smoke mackerel in your tea? Easily! Mackerel smoked in this way turns out to be unusually tasty and aromatic, much tastier and healthier than its store counterpart. You can serve it separately, as a snack, or prepare, for example, a salad.
Ingredients
- 4 fillets of fresh mackerel
- 75 g of salt
- 75 g rice
- 75 g of sugar demerara
- 75 g dry tea (earl gray, lapsang sushong or jasmine)
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
Place the fish in a small dish or tray, cover with salt and let sit for 10 minutes.
Step 2
Line the bottom of the pan - wok with foil, add rice, sugar and tea on top, stir.
Step 3
Rinse the salt off the fish gently and pat the mackerel dry with a paper towel. Place the fish on a small wire rack and place over the skillet so that it does not come into contact with the rice.
Step 4
Cover the fish with a lid or foil, turn on the hood to maximum and place the pan on medium heat for 10-12 minutes until the fish is well smoked.
