Moussaka in Greek with eggplant
Moussaka with eggplant is an outstanding representative of traditional Greek cuisine. This is, in fact, a flaky vegetable casserole with fried minced meat, drenched in creamy cheese sauce. Because of its similarity to the famous Italian masterpiece, moussaka is also called "vegetable lasagna".
Ingredients
- 4 eggplants - about 700 g
- 500 g minced meat
- 2 onions
- 4-5 tomatoes - about 300 g
- 75 g hard cheese
- 150 ml dry white wine
- 50 ml vegetable oil, better than olive
- 400 ml of milk
- 150 g hard cheese
- 2 tbsp. l. flour
- 2 eggs
- 75 g butter
- a pinch of grated nutmeg
