Pepper jam

Amazing red pepper jam. Unusual sweet-burning taste, wonderful ruby color. It goes well with meat, cheese and fresh bread.

Pepper jam
Ingredients
  • sweet red pepper 5 pcs.
  • hot red pepper 3 pcs.
  • balsamic vinegar 10 ml
  • apple 2 pcs.
  • star anise 1 pc.
  • sugar 160 g

STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE

Step 1
To prepare pepper jam, prepare the following products: sweet and hot red peppers, apples, sugar, star anise, balsamic vinegar.
Step 2
Cut all ingredients (pepper and apples) into random pieces. Cover with sugar and leave until juice is released.
Step 3
After extracting the juice, put the jam on low heat for 10 minutes. Add the used spices (star anise).
Step 4
Purée the mixture with an immersion blender to the desired consistency. Remove the star anise from the jam (if used). It is advisable if small pieces of pepper remain in the jam. Boil the jam to the desired thickness. Add balsamic vinegar at the end. Boil. Arrange hot jam in sterile jars and close with metal lids.
