- butter 100 g

STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
Pour yeast into slightly warmed milk, add a pinch of sugar, mix and leave for 20 minutes until a "cap" is formed.
Step 2
Beat the egg and yolk (save the white for the filling). Pour in milk with yeast.
Step 3
Add remaining sugar, sifted flour, butter and a pinch of salt.
Step 4
Knead the dough. It should turn out to be elastic, add flour if necessary. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and leave in a warm place for 1 hour.
Step 5
Filling. Chop the nuts, set aside.
Step 6
Pour poppy seeds into a saucepan, add cinnamon, vanilla extract, lemon zest and milk. Warm up for 2 minutes over low heat. Set aside.
Step 7
Beat the protein, transfer to a saucepan with walnuts, sugar and 75g butter. Cook for a couple of minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally. Cool down.
Step 8
Knead the dough, roll it into a 65x45 cm rectangle. Melt the remaining butter and grease the dough.
Step 9
Remove the roll from the oven and leave in the form for a few minutes. Turn over onto a wire rack and cool. Decorate the top with powdered sugar. Enjoy your meal!
