Chak-chak is one of the most popular oriental sweets. Traditionally it is made from dough generously coated with honey. At the 15 / 17Bar & Grill restaurant, the syrup, which is used to make a sweet mixture for impregnation, is added with spices - cinnamon, coriander and star anise, which gives the dessert a special oriental aroma and adds spicy notes to the taste.
Ingredients
- honey - 250 g
- sugar - 1 tsp. l.
- cover -15 g
- coriander -15 g
- star anise - 2 stars
- milk -100 ml
- soda - 5 g
- sugar -1 h l.
- salt - 3 g
- egg - 1 piece
- yolk - 2 pcs
- flour - 120 g
- oil - 100 ml
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
Prepare the dough. Mix all ingredients until smooth.
Step 2
Form balls of 3-4 cm in diameter from the dough. Roll each into a sausage with a diameter of half a centimeter and cut into 3-4 cm pieces.
Step 3
Pour oil into a saucepan or saucepan, bring it to a temperature of 180 degrees and fry the dough pieces until golden brown (keep in oil for 5 minutes). Transfer the dough to a paper towel to remove excess oil.
Step 4
For syrup: mix honey, sugar and spices to a temperature of 100 degrees and boil for 2-3 minutes.
Step 5
Put the fried pieces of dough into the honey syrup and stir so that the mixture evenly covers each piece.
Step 6
Put the chak-chak on a plate, shape it into a pie and let it soak and steep for 1 hour before serving.
